QualiTech is growing, and we are seeking a Finance Director to join us in our newly remodeled headquarters and help support that growth.

Position Summary

As a member of the Food Division leadership team, the Finance Director is a key partner to the General Manager and other functional leaders in growing our Food Ingredients business.  In addition to being responsible for all areas of the division's financial management and reporting, you will contribute to the division's strategic direction by providing broad decision support and collaborating with other Food Division leaders during the annual strategic planning process. 

The Finance Director will provide key management support and financial reporting for the Food Ingredients division, including oversight of the budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, standards development, and capital expenditures processes. The Finance Director will act as a liaison between Shared Services and Divisional functions to drive process improvements and lead Finance/ IT efforts to improve efficiency, financial transparency and decision-making.  This position will participate in establishing and implementing strategic goals and objectives and will ensuring that accounting practices follow established legal, regulatory, and company procedures.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Partner with General Manager to promote division growth and enhance profitability
  • Provide timely, accurate financial performance reporting, identify trends and recommend actions to business partners
  • Analyze performance and variances to provide financial insights
  • Prepare annual budget, forecasts and capital expenditure plans and present to senior management for approval
  • Support Sales/R&D in assessing business opportunities and developing price quotes
  • Build close partnership with Operations team to optimize plant performance, manage costs, and ensure capacity needs are met
  • Assess opportunities and improve processes/systems to improve profitability
  • Coordinate with Finance & Accounting team to ensure business transactions are properly recorded
  • Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with company policies and accounting principles
  • Lead Finance and cross-functional project teams, train and motivate them to achieve project goals
  • Collaborate with corporate business partners in IT, Human Resources, Administration and Supply Chain to maintain healthy and productive work teams
  • Provide leadership to maintain and improve accounting and reporting systems

 Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or related field
    • MBA or CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management within a manufacturing business
  • Broad knowledge of financial and accounting analysis, practices and procedures
  • Experience in making and influencing decisions that positively impact financials
  • Strong experience with ERP, accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
