QualiTech is growing, and we are seeking a Human Resource Business Partner to join us in our newly remodeled headquarters and help support that growth.

Position Summary

Working closely with the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resource Business Partner will provide HR support and partnership to QualiTech managers and employees in the areas of: Employee Relations, Engagement Strategies, Legal & Safety Compliance, Performance Management, Benefits Administration, and Training & Development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Employee Relations/Business Partner (25%)

  • Work closely with managers to develop programs, strategies and solutions that will achieve business objectives
  • Provide support and direction to managers in areas of: employee relations, leaves of absence, employee retention and engagement, performance management, and policy interpretation
  • Development of employee recognition and retention programs

Benefits Administration (25%)

  • Benefit Plan Administration: open enrollment, new hire processing, employee communication, vendor relations, invoice payments, benefit audits and wellness programs and initiatives.
  • Financial plan management: 401(k) administration, reporting and auditing, HSA & FSA administration, reporting and auditing
  • Leave of Absence Compliance: Worker's Compensation, Unemployment, Short-Term Disability leaves, FMLA, COBRA & HIPAA

Human Resources Support and Administration (20%)

  • Lead, assist or facilitate HR projects supporting overall business goals
  • Maintain HRIS system and reporting

Training and Development (15%)

  • Collaborate with the Director of HR to design and implement career development tools and processes (functional competencies, career path development)
  • Design, development and delivery of training solutions to meet emerging training needs
  • Participate in evaluation of training and development programs, ROI metrics and company-wide training needs analysis.
  • Lead annual training regulations; HIPAA, Harassment, Safety/OSHA

Performance Management (10%)

  • Monitors performance evaluation program and recommends revisions
  • Maintains employee data in SuccessFactors
  • Provides compensation reports to managers
  • Logs Corrective Action plans in ADP
  • Responds to wage survey requests and maintains database of benchmarked job descriptions

Compliance & Safety (5%)

  • Participates in Safety Committee
  • Recommends policy updates in accordance with HR related laws
  • Maintains HR metrics, turnover, open position reports, time to fill, etc.
  • Assists in development of written procedures for Human Resources
  • Assists with compliance of OSHA mandated testing programs (hearing tests, CPR testing, etc.)

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 3+ years of generalist experience including employee relations, benefits administration and training and development
  • PHR/SPHR certification a plus
  • Strong understanding of Federal, State and local employment law
  • Experience with the development, research and implementation of processes, policies and projects
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven problem solving and conflict resolution ability
  • Ability to work with, and maintain, confidential and sensitive information
  • Computer software skills applicable to position
